This is my 1st cake made with fondant. I don't care for the taste of it as it is just too sweet but it is lots of fun to work with.

Carter Eats!!

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of eating a meal with our family knows what a challenge it can be to get Carter to eat. Not that he is picky he just has a million other things to concentrate on.

Well, things seem to be changing. Last night Carter had 2 servings of his supper and was asking for more. He woke up this morning asking for 3 waffles. Growth spurt on the horizon?!?

Back to School Tomorrow

The strike has finally ended and kids are back to school today. Carter's 1st day back will be tomorrow and then he won't be back until after Spring Break. Friday is a PD day for teachers (insert eye roll) and the school board has decided to keep Spring Break as originally planned. I know I would have much stronger feeling about all this if Carter was not just in Kindergarten. We have decided he will do Kindy for another year as well. Only because he is so darn small and he really doesn't enjoy taking the school bus home at the end of the day. I don't want to turn his little life into the daily grind grade 1 will be for him just yet. He loves kindergarten and the last thing I want is for him to dread going to school. I think it is so important for him to get off to a positive start and love school now as it will hopefully shape the next few years.

We've Finally Moved!

After an exhausting week we are finally settled in to our new digs! We are in heaven! The boys are thrilled with their new space. They are both sleeping great in their new bunk beds. Luca has had a smooth transition to the "big boy bed" and is sleeping better and longer than he did in the crib.

We had a little party for everyone who helped us move and to celebrate Luca's birthday. I really wanted to make him a cake so I made an Elmo cake and it was a hit!

My baby is 2 today! We are putting off his party until we are in the house and that way Mom will be here to help celebrate.
We're going to friends for supper and cake tonight and the sitter made a cake for him....he will be well spoiled today!!

We signed all the papers for the house at the lawyers yesterday and everything is on track for our possession NEXT WEEK!!!! Only 1 week from today....
