Strike!

Parkland School Division teachers are on strike.

Thank goodness Carter is only in Kindergarten therefore, we are virtually unaffected. This fact make it easier for me to support the teachers as they have been without a collective agreement since August.

33 Today

My boys sang Happy Birthday to me this morning. Even the dog added a "arf"! It was a great weekend of birthday festivities. Saturday morning Joel had pancakes made for me and that night we went out for dinner!

I'm feeling pretty loved today!

Sneak Peak....

Went in the house today and snapped a few shots of the kitchen taking form....picture all stainless appliances and dark brown tile around the fireplace and maple hardwood.
It is hard to really see the countertop because it is so dusty. It's called Red Dragon Bamboo and it is pretty "out there" but we love it! The designer really tried to talk us out of it for "resale purposes" but we said screw it we are building this house for US.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!!

Cake #3

Final class for Course #1 was today. Next week we start Course #2.

Re-Entering the Bruise Years

Aaarrgghhh.....Luca is a train wreck!! We went to the indoor play centre yesterday and Luca manages to find the only hard surface in the place and falls into it, head first. He has a big bruise and a dent on his forehead. Of course I am following closely behind him (while all the parents of the cautious little girls sit and chat) working up a sweat trying to keep up but he is fearless and I have no idea how to slow him down. Why do boys need to learn by doing?!?!
